Verdant Vitality - Daily Greens
Twenty-two plants in one scoop, and it tastes like it.
We are starting there because the greens category has a credibility problem. Most of them are sweetened into a smoothie and then described as clean. If a greens powder tastes like candy, ask what is doing that.
Verdant Vitality has no sweetener and no flavoring. It tastes green. That is the trade.
What is actually in the scoop
The green base. Barley grass, wheat grass, spirulina, broccoli, alfalfa and green tea. These are the chlorophyll-dense plants most people do not eat enough of.
The reds and berries. Beet root, hibiscus, strawberry, cranberry, acai, blueberry and pomegranate, for polyphenols.
The functional layer. Ashwagandha and panax ginseng as adaptogens, turmeric with black pepper for absorption, plus cinnamon, ginger and mangosteen.
The gut layer. Inulin from Jerusalem artichoke, a prebiotic fiber.
Twenty-two named ingredients, no proprietary blend hiding the ratios.
Who this is for
Someone who knows they do not eat enough vegetables and would rather close part of that gap in ten seconds than pretend they are going to start meal-prepping kale.
A greens powder is not a substitute for eating plants. It is a floor, not a ceiling.
Who this is not for
If you need it to taste nice, this will disappoint you. Blend it into something with a strong flavor, or buy a sweetened one from someone else and be at peace with that.
It contains ashwagandha. If you already take Sacred Balance you are doubling up on that, and if you have a thyroid condition it is worth a word with your doctor.
Wheat grass and barley grass are grasses rather than grain, but they are not certified gluten-free. Coeliacs should skip it.
How to use it
One scoop into 6 to 8oz of cold water or a drink you like. Drink it within ten minutes, because it separates and the texture gets worse the longer it sits.
Most people find it goes down easiest in juice, a smoothie, or cold water drunk quickly rather than sipped.
Questions people actually ask
Does it actually taste bad?
It tastes like plants. Unsweetened greens always do. In water it is noticeable, in a smoothie it disappears.
What is the difference between this and Crimson Radiance?
Verdant Vitality is greens-led with adaptogens. Crimson Radiance is reds-led with a nine-strain probiotic. Some people take greens in the morning and reds later. There is deliberate overlap in the berries but the jobs are different.
Can I take it with coffee?
You can, but it is unpleasant. Cold liquid suits it better.
Is it gluten-free?
Not certified. It contains wheat grass and barley grass, which are the leaf rather than the grain, but we are not going to tell a coeliac it is safe.
Does it have caffeine?
A small amount from the green tea powder. Far less than a cup of tea, but not zero.
Can I take it alongside my multivitamin?
Yes. This is food-derived nutrition rather than isolated high-dose vitamins, so it does not typically conflict.
How many servings?
126g at one scoop daily. See the label for the exact scoop weight.
Why is the scoop smaller than other greens powders?
Because there is no filler, no sweetener and no flavoring taking up the volume.
